Mold Remediation in Killearn, Tallahassee

Mold inspection, testing and remediation for Tallahassee, Leon County and the Big Bend. One local number, a written scope before any wall comes open.

Killearn is the biggest slice of northeast Tallahassee, Killearn Estates, Killearn Lakes and Killearn Acres, and the crew is there most weeks: exterior closet walls that sweat in August, air-handler closets with growth on the return side, attic ducts dripping onto ceilings, and the occasional roof leak from a summer storm.

Most Killearn houses are slab-built from the 1970s onward, so the crawl-space problems of the older parts of town are rare here; the mold is in walls, closets and attics, and it nearly always traces back to the air conditioning. Killearn Lakes, with its lakeside lots and heavy tree cover, runs wetter than the rest.

Scopes are written and free after the inspection, and the number on this page rings the same crew as the rest of the county.

About Killearn

Killearn Estates was developed from the 1960s as one of the first large planned subdivisions in Tallahassee, followed by Killearn Lakes Plantation and Killearn Acres to the north and east, around Lake Iamonia and the Bradfordville area. The housing is mostly single-story and split-level ranch on slab, on wooded lots with heavy shade that keeps siding and walls damp; parts of the Killearn area lie outside the Tallahassee city limits, so the permit office can differ from one street to the next.
