About Killearn
Killearn Estates was developed from the 1960s as one of the first large planned subdivisions in Tallahassee, followed by Killearn Lakes Plantation and Killearn Acres to the north and east, around Lake Iamonia and the Bradfordville area. The housing is mostly single-story and split-level ranch on slab, on wooded lots with heavy shade that keeps siding and walls damp; parts of the Killearn area lie outside the Tallahassee city limits, so the permit office can differ from one street to the next.
